Morphology of the land & Climate
The region of Arachthos is structured from geological formations which belong to two different geotectonic zones: the Zone of Pindos(Eastern Part) and the Ionian Zone(Cental - Western Part).
The shores of Arachtos offers you a total view of Ionian Zone from the village of Kedros (municipality of Tzoumerka), in the northern region, to Kalentzi (municipality of Kastanoxwria).
The climate of the region would be characterized as transient from Mediterranean to temperate, maintaining the characteristics of the Mediterranean type, more in the low altitudes and least in the mountainous regions. It is characterized from a very cold winter, full of rains, from a very hot summer with many local rainfalls.
